Pre-Assessment: Community Helpers
Lesson Plans 1-5
Teacher will ask each student to answer the following questions and record each student’s answers before teaching the unit to assess prior knowledge. Students will have an opportunity to draw a picture of their favorite type of community helper. The following questions include multiple choice and open-ended.
1. What does the word community mean? How is someone part of a community?
2. Which person would you go to see if you had a toothache?
